Terms and Conditions
The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. |
The preschool capacity is based on the use of primary rooms: Room 8 with a maximum capacity of 16 children, and Room 18 with a maximum capacity of 20 children |
The school age capacity is based on the use of primary Lunchroom 3 with a maximum capacity of 15 children, and Lunchroom 2 with a maximum capacity of 30 children |
The operator shall ensure that the washroom supervision plan submitted to the Ministry is followed at all times when children are using the lunchroom #1 and the gymnasium as the centre's licensed alternate space. |
By the 15th day of each month during the term of this licence the operator will send written proof to the ministry that a fire drill has been conducted. |
The operator shall monitor the recording of daily/weekly flushing for lead to ensure it has been completed. The operator’s record of the monitoring shall be available for review by ministry staff at all times. |
Once the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect room 8 has been approved for a group of 20 JK/SK children and will no longer be used by preschool children. |
Prior to the occupation of Room 6, the operator shall submit to the Ministry, written confirmation from the Building Department that the building permits issued in relation to the construction in Room 6 have either been closed or cleared for occupancy. In the interim the operator shall continue to use the appropriate alternate space, Room 7, lunchroom #1 or the gymnasium. |

All rooms as set out in the shared space confirmation are approved for use by the child care program, based on licensed capacity, provided that the room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. The operator is required to keep on file at the premises an up-to-date shared space confirmation. This confirmation must include the primary use of the room during the school day and must be made available to Ministry of Education staff upon request. |
Director's Approval

As of August 31, 2015, director approval is granted for the use of specified rooms/areas that may have less than 2.58 square metres of unobstructed floor space for each child in a licensed kindergarten, primary/junior school age and/or junior school age group, based on the licensed capacity, provided that the same room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. |
