WELCOME TO CHURCH ST. SCHOOL CHILD CARE CENTRE!
Established in 1974, we are a licensed, non-profit Centre located in Church Street Junior Public School at the south-east corner of Church and Alexander Streets. We offer care to children from 18 months to 12 years of age. We take pride in the diversity of our children and their families and we value their unique contributions to our community.
We offers a stimulating program to develop a child’s cognitive, language, literacy, emotional, social, creative, and physical skills. Through an Emergent Curriculum model, the Early Childhood Educators record their daily observations of the children and plan for play based learning opportunities which support the children’s development of capacities and skills while respecting their interests and choices.
We provide an environment in which learning is a rewarding and enjoyable experience, and where each child can develop his or her potential at an individual pace. We often bring in outside specialists to offer programming which enhances learning in a variety of areas such as drama, dance, art, music and sports.
