FAMILY DAY CARE SERVICES

Family Day recognizes the importance of family and community in child development. As a family centred child care organization, we work to strengthen the relationships between children, their families and their communities. Family Day understands that culture, diversity, community and public policy affect child and family development. We support our families, and recognize and respect parents as being the most important caregivers for each child. Parents and staff are partners in caring for children.

The following eight key principles guide Family Day staff.

Terms and Conditions

The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents.
The school age licensed capacity is based on the use of the Gym (aka: General Purpose Room) and the alternate space of Room 102.
The operator shall ensure that the washroom escort and supervision plan submitted to the ministry on August 30, 2013 is in place at all times.
The kindergarten licensed capacity is based on the use of Room 100.
The kindergarten and school age program are licensed to operate before- and after- school and full-day on PA days and school holidays. .

Director's Approval

Director's approval has been granted for mixed age grouping under s. 55(2) of O. Reg. 262. Mixed age grouping can be implemented in only one group in each age category. 20% of the licensed capacity per age group is as follows: JK / SK (20): 4 children and School Age (30): 6 children.
