The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. |
The kindergarten and/or school age program are licensed to operate before and after school and full day on PA Days and school holidays. |
No child shall use the school playground structure until a third party certified playground inspector's written confirmation all immediate health and safety issues have been addressed has been submitted to the ministry. |
Before changes are made to shared space and/or the total capacity for kindergarten and/or school-age children, the operator shall ensure that an up to date shared space confirmation document that is signed by the operator and a school board representative is available on site for Ministry review. |
Room 101 is licensed for a group of 20 kindergarten children, Room 102 is licensed for a group of 10 kindergarten children and Room 109 is licensed for a group of 20 school-age children until August 31, 2015 when the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect. Once the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect, Room 101 is licensed for a group of 26 kindergarten children, Room 102 is licensed for a group of 13 kindergarten children, Room 109 is licensed for a group of 20 junior school-age children. |
Once the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect, director approval is granted for the use of a room or area with less than 2.58 square metres of unobstructed floor space for each child in a licensed kindergarten, primary/junior school age and/or junior school age group, based on the licensed capacity, provided that the same room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group as set out in the shared space confirmation. |
All rooms as set out in the shared space confirmation are approved for use by the child care program, based on licensed capacity, provided that the room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. The operator is required to keep on file at the premises an up-to-date shared space confirmation. This confirmation must include the primary use of the room during the school day and must be made available to Ministry of Education staff upon request. |
Director's Approval
As of August 31, 2015, director approval is granted for the use of specified rooms/areas that may have less than 2.58 square metres of unobstructed floor space for each child in a licensed kindergarten, primary/junior school age and/or junior school age group, based on the licensed capacity, provided that the same room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. |
