The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. The licensee shall ensure that the total licensed capacity is not exceeded at any time. |
The Junior Preschool Room is licenced to operate with 24 preschool children or with an alternate capacity of 15 toddler children. The alternate age group has been approved based on the licensee's approved plan. The licensee shall notify the ministry prior to implementing the alternate age group and submit documentation to show how staffing and program requirements will be met. |
The Senior Preschool Room is licenced to operate with 24 preschool children or with an alternate capacity of 24 school age children for the months of July and August only. The alternate age group has been approved based on the licensee's approved plan. The licensee shall notify the ministry prior to implementing the alternate age group and submit documentation to show how staffing and program requirements will be met. |
The toddler licensed capacity is based on the use of the Junior Toddler Room for 10 children and the Senior Toddler Room for 15 children. |
The preschool licensed capacity is based on the use of the Junior Preschool Room for 24 children, Preschool Room for 24 children and the Senior Preschool Room for 24 children. |
Guidelines and sample menus for preparing bag lunches/snacks which meet Canada’s Food Guide, as well as procedures for refrigeration or the use of ice packs with bag lunches, shall be provided to each parent and posted at the centre. The licensee shall review this information with parents at the time of enrolment and the information shall be included in the centre’s parent handbook. The centre shall ensure back-up procedures are in place if a bagged lunch is forgotten. |
The licensee shall submit written confirmation to the Ministry by May 27, 2016 that full compliance has been achieved for all items identified as “in progress” on the Summary of Child Care Centre Licensing Requirements and Recommendations report. |
