McKee Mckids is a play-based non-profit childcare program located in McKee Public School.
We provide care for children from 31 months until 12 years of age.
In 1984, we opened our doors to 19 children.
Since 1984, we have expanded a couple of times, first to a licensed capacity of 84 and now, due to community interest and need we have increased our licensed capacity to be able to care for 198 preschool, kindergarten and schoolage children.
All children who attend our program must live in the McKee Public School catchment area and all schoolage children must attend McKee Public School.
Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:15am until 6:00pm.
We operate 10 months of the year from September to June.

| The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. |
| The preschool licensed capacity is based on the exclusive use of Rooms 125 and 126. |
| The kindergarten and the school age program are licensed to operate before and after school and full days on PA Days and school holidays. |
| The kindergarten licensed capacity is based on the use of Rooms 109, 110 and 114 the alternative space of Rooms 106, 107 and 108. |
| The school age licensed capacity is based on the use of Rooms 111, 112 and 113 with alternative spaces of Rooms 135 and 136. |
| No child shall use the School's playground structure until the operator receives a third party certified playground safety inspector's written verification the structure meets CSA standards. The inspector's written confirmation of CSA compliance must be submitted to the ministry prior to the use of the structure. |
