The North Grenville Co-operative Pre-School and Learning Centre is a non-profit, fully co-operative organization run by parents and community members whose vision is to provide a first academic experience and enhanced learning opportunities to pre-school and school age children respectively. Through the co-operation and participation of our diverse community we are dedicated to guiding our children towards excellence in learning and community involvement.

The North Grenville Co-operative Pre-School and Learning Centre is a pre-school and more. In offering an exceptional first learning experience we are preparing our children for a smooth transition into the mainstream academic world of kindergarten. The North Grenville Co-operative Pre-School and Learning Centre also offers enhanced learning opportunities that will develop our school-age children’s imaginations, talents, and skills through special interest programs developed by professionals for our children; from learning through music, children’s arts programs, to global awareness and environment programs and others. The North Grenville Co-operative Pre-School and Learning Centre is committed to tailoring the curriculum to meet the needs of the community and our children. We are licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Education and are accessible under A.O.D.A.

Terms and Conditions

The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents.
The kindergarten and school age programs are licensed to operate before- and after-school and full-day on PA days and school holidays.
The kindergarten licensed capacity is based on the use of Room 1 and the alternate space of the gym.
The school age licensed capacity is based on the use of Room 7 and the alternate space of the portable 2 and the gym.
No child shall use the playground structure until the operator receives a third party certified playground safety inspector's written verification the surfacing and permanent play structure meet CSA standards. The inspector's written confirmation of CSA compliance must be submitted to the ministry prior to the use of the permanent play structure.

Director's Approval

Director's approval for a mixed age group. Therefore, 20% of 30 children (68 months - 12 years), maximum 6 children, may be from the younger age group (44- 67 months).
Director's approval for a mixed age group. Therefore, 20% of 20 children (44 -67 months ), maximum 4 children, may be from the younger age group ( 31 months - 5 years).
