North York Suzuki School of Music

The North York Suzuki School of Music, formerly the Seneca Suzuki School of Music, has been located in the North York area of Toronto for over 40 years. The school is run by the teachers and their administrator.

Our school year totals 36 weeks. Students also receive anywhere from 25-32 group classes in the year. These group classes are part of the curriculum and not optional. During the summer, teachers offer days that they are willing to teach, and families sign up for as many lessons as they wish. We often offer special summer sessions of more intense focus in theory, orchestra and the like. Students will also have 5-6 opportunities to perform.

General Program / Class Information

• Piano Lessons: includes individual lessons, 30 x 3/4 hr groups, recitals/concerts and workshop.
• String Lessons: includes individual lessons, groups (from half hour to 70 minutes), recitals, concerts and workshops.
• Parent and Toddler (to 4 years): Dance with your darling, sing with your sweetheart! 45 minutes weekly
