Petit Pearson is a non-profit childcare managed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected annually at the Annual General Meeting. We are licensed by the Ministry of Community and Social Services. We hold a purchase of Service Contract with Toronto Children's Services, which allows us to provide subsidized care.
Petit Pearson childcare centre is located in Lester B Pearson Elementary School (SK to Grade 8).

| The operator shall ensure that a washroom supervision plan that was submitted to the ministry on August 29, 2014 is implemented. |
| Children under 5 years will not use the permanent play structure in the playground. |
| The kindergarten and the school age program are licensed to operate before and after school and full days on PA Days and school holidays. |
| Upon completion of repairs and renovations to playground, the operator shall submit the third party certified playground inspector’s written confirmation that all health and safety concerns have been addressed and that the playground is in compliance with CSA standards. |
| The Operator shall follow the playground plan submitted to the ministry on April 30, 2015. The children will not have access to the retaining wall on the north side of the playground nor will the children use the permanent play structure, until all repairs have been completed. |
| Before changes are made to shared space and/or the total capacity for kindergarten and/or school-age children, the operator shall ensure that an up to date shared space confirmation document that is signed by the operator and a school board representative is available on site for Ministry review. |
| All rooms as set out in the shared space confirmation are approved for use by the child care program, based on licensed capacity, provided that the room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. The operator is required to keep on file at the premises an up-to-date shared space confirmation. This confirmation must include the primary use of the room during the school day and must be made available to Ministry of Education staff upon request. Room 111 is licensed for use by a Senior Kindergarten group of 24 children. Room 108 is licensed for use by a Primary/Junior School Age group of 21 children. The Gymnasium is licensed for use by a Primary/Junior School Age group of 30 children. Room 103 is licensed for use by a Primary/Junior School Age group of 27 children. |
Director's Approval
| As of August 31, 2015, director approval is granted for the use of specified rooms/areas that may have less than 2.58 square metres of unobstructed floor space for each child in a licensed kindergarten, primary/junior school age and/or junior school age group, based on the licensed capacity, provided that the same room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. |
