The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents.
The kindergarten licensed capacity is based on the use of Room 14 and the alternate space of Room 16 and 18.
As of August 31, 2015, the operator is licensed to provide care for 20 Junior School Age children and must meet the staff: child ratios and respect the maximum group sizes identified in Schedule 1 of Ontario Regulation 137/15.
As of August 31, 2015, all rooms as set out in the shared space confirmation are approved for use by the child care program, based on licensed capacity, provided that the room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. The operator is required to keep on file at the premises an up-to-date shared space confirmation. This confirmation must include the primary use of the room during the school day and must be made available to Ministry of Education staff upon request.

The operator shall review this information with parents at the time of enrolment and the information shall be included in the centre's parent handbook. The centre shall ensure back-up procedures are in place if a bag lunch/snack is forgotten.

Director's Approval

As of August 31, 2015, director approval is granted for the use of specified rooms/areas that may have less than 2.58 square metres of unobstructed floor space for each child in a licensed kindergarten, primary/junior school age and/or junior school age group, based on the licensed capacity, provided that the same room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group.
Director approval has been granted for junior and senior kindergarten children as well as school age children to bring bagged lunches and or snacks.
Director's approval for a mixed age group for children aged from 68 months to 12 years. Therefore, 20% of 30 children, maximum 6 children, may be from the younger age group.
Director's approval for a mixed age group for children aged from 44 months to 67 months. Therefore, 20% of 20 children, maximum 4 children, may be from the younger age group.
As of August 31, 2015 Director approval is granted to allow mixed age grouping pursuant to ss.8(2) and (3) of O.Reg. 137/15.
