The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. The licensee shall ensure that the total licensed capacity is not exceeded at any time. |
The following services offered by the operator in the multi-purpose room are not licensed under the Child Care Early Years Act, 2014 and are not part of the operator's licensed child care program: birthday parties and playgroups offered on Saturday and Sunday. The operator must inform parents in writing that these services are not part of the licensed child care program, must ensure that parents/legal guardians of children attending the playgroup remain on premise with their children during the operation of the playgroup, and must ensure the insurance company is aware these services are not licensed under the Child Care Early Years Act, 2014. |
Guidelines and sample menus for preparing bag lunches/snacks which meet the recommendations set out in the Health Canada documents “Eating Well with Canada’s Food Guide” OR “Eating Well with Canada’s Food Guide – First Nations, Inuit and Métis”, as well as procedures for refrigeration or the use of ice packs with bag lunches, shall be provided to each parent and posted at the centre. The operator shall review this information with parents at the time of enrolment and the information shall be included in the centre’s parent handbook. Director's Approval
Director's approval is granted for the playground measuring 2400 sq. ft. which serves up to 40 children provided the operator follows the rotation on file with the Ministry to ensure that infant/toddler and preschool groups use the playground at separate times. |
Director approval is granted to allow mixed age grouping pursuant to ss.8(2) and (3) of O.Reg. 137/15. |
