The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents.
Rooms 312, 313, 112 & 113 are licensed for a group of 20 kindergarten children until August 31, 2015 when the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect. Once the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect, Rooms 312, 313, 112 & 113 are licensed for a group of 26 kindergarten children.
The kindergarten and/or school age program are licensed to operate before- and after- school and full-day on PA days and school holidays.
Guidelines and sample menus for preparing bag lunches/snacks which meet Canada's Food Guide, as well as procedures for refrigeration or the use of ice packs with bag lunches, shall be provided to each parent and posted at the centre. The operator shall review this information with parents at the time of enrolment and the information shall be included in the centre's parent handbook. The centre shall ensure back-up procedures are in place if a bag lunch/snack is forgotten.
The school age licensed capacity is based on the use of Rooms 307, 308, 309, 108, 109, 310 and the alternate space of Rooms 106, 107, 120, 121, 122 and the gymnasium.
The kindergarten licensed capacity is based on the use of Rooms 312 and 313, and the alternate space of Rooms 112 and 113.
The preschool licensed capacity is based on the use of Room 115-B.
No child shall use the playground structure until the operator receives a third party certified playground safety inspector’s written verification the surfacing and permanent play structure meet CSA standards. The inspector’s written confirmation of CSA compliance must be submitted to the ministry prior to the use of the permanent play structure.
The toddler licensed capacity is based on the use of Room 115-A.

Director's Approval

Once the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect, director approval is granted for the use of a room or area with less than 2.58 square metres of unobstructed floor space for each child in a licensed kindergarten, primary/junior school age and/or junior school age group, based on the licensed capacity, provided that the same room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group as set out in the shared space confirmation.
Director's approval has been granted for junior and senior kindergarten children to bring bagged lunches and/or snacks.
Director's approval has been granted for mixed age grouping under s. 55(2) of O. Reg. 262. Mixed age grouping can be implemented in only one group in each age category. 20% of the licensed capacity per age group is as follows: Toddler (15): 3 children; Preschool (24): 3 children; JK / SK (20)(26): 4 children; School Age (30): 6 children.
