About Summer Camp
We have a fun-filled summer planned for children. Byron Woods Summer Camp provides a safe and creative learning environment. Our goal is for children to form new friendships and make their summer experience memorable. Our camp resides on a beautiful ravine setting where the children have regular outdoor play times in our large, fenced playground and enjoy weekly ravine walks.
Our camp offers full or half-day weekly programs for children aged three to nine, with activities geared to your child’s age. Our Summer Camp staff consists of our regular school year teachers as well as experienced childcare personnel.
Each day of the week is a different theme with field trips and special guests, which are included in the cost. Our campers enjoy our air-conditioned building as well as a completely fenced outdoor playground with play equipment, sandbox, basketball hoop, bicycles to ride on pathways and access to our fenced sport court. The playground is shaded by several mature trees for the comfort of our campers during outdoor activities.
Campers bring their own lunch and snacks. We ask that you do not send any peanut/nut products for the safety of students with peanut/nut allergies. Every Friday is Pizza Day when participating students enjoy cheese or pepperoni pizza, juice, fresh veggies/fruit and a treat. Sign-up forms for this pizza lunch are available with the camp registration form as well as in the school office. Forms and payment should be returned by each Wednesday during camp.
As well as a smile, campers should be dressed for outdoor play with a change of clothes, hat, filled water bottle and sunscreen sent every day. Please send a swimsuit and towel with your child every Friday for Water Day. Please ensure that your child’s sunscreen does not contain any nut oils, including coconut oil, for the safety of our campers with nut allergies. Please label everything!
