A Child’s Secret Garden has been in operation for 17 years. In 1998, the program went from a private home based centre, to the public centre based program you see today. We have been growing exponentially since then, and we continue to grow to this day due to the popularity of our services.
We offer a wide range of infant, toddler, preschool, school age and summer care programs to children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Our staff/child ratio is 1:3 for Infants; 1:5 for Toddlers; 1:8 for Preschoolers and 1:12 for school age. Full and half day programs are offered. Your child can participate in learning centres, play activities, crafts, story time, music and outdoor programs.

| The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. |
| Children aged 68 months to 12 years will be included in the licensed capacity for children aged 44 to 67 months. A staff/child ratio of 1:10 will be respected at all times and the operator will ensure that the program is age appropriate. |
| The maximum capacity for the building is 80 occupants. |
| Guidelines and sample menus for preparing bag lunches/snacks which meet Canada's Food Guide, as well as procedures for refrigeration or the use of ice packs with bag lunches, shall be provided to each parent and posted at the centre. The operator shall review this information with parents at the time of enrolment and the information shall be included in the centre's parent handbook. The centre shall ensure back-up procedures are in place if a bag lunch/snack is forgotten. |
