Ballantrae Child Care has facilities to accommodate the following children:
Both full and part time care is provided 51 weeks each year. Care is provided 5 days per week from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
School Year Program 2014-2015
All full time E.C.E.’s are registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators. We offer a variety of care options and your child can trust that every teacher will lovingly care for all of his or her needs. We offer full time care to our before and after programs during Christmas Break, March Break, Summer Break and all P.A. days. All groups have the opportunity to play, explore and discover the wonders of nature during our outdoor play time which happens twice a day, for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon. Our educators plan daily activities that include – creative, sensory, dramatic and cognitive play. Some activities involve one on one interaction while others enhance group relationships. We provide a balance of activities which are all developmentally appropriate.
TODDLERS/PRESCHOOL (18 months–3 years)
Our program focuses on developing warm relationships with both playmates and caregivers thus fostering a sense of security and self-confidence. We also focus on letter recognition, numbers, colours, shapes, vocabulary and social skills. We will ensure that our toddlers and preschoolers will have an enjoyable, fun filled day of learning.
KINDERGARTEN (4–5 years)
Our before and after school program provides children with more opportunities to learn and grow and provides a seamless day with fewer transitions for children and families. Our program is a supportive extension to your child's full-day kindergarten program.
SCHOOL AGE (6–12 years)
Our before and after school program is designed to foster creativity and encourage the development of both intellectual and physical well being. We know that building self-esteem and experiencing success is important to children in this age group.
