The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents.
This program is licensed to operate a program for 24 preschool children and 47 school age children OR a program for 10 toddlers, 24 preschool children, and 30 school age children.
Guidelines and sample menus for preparing bag lunches which meet Canada's Food Guide, as well as procedures for refrigeration or the use of ice packs with bag lunches, shall be provided to each parent and posted at the centre. The operator shall review this information with parents at the time of enrollment and the information shall be included in the centre's parent handbook. The centre shall ensure back-up procedures are in place if a bag lunch is forgotten.
The operator shall ensure that when a new anaphylactic allergy is known, a written notification is provided to each school age child's parents notifying them of the prohibited food. The operator shall also continue to check the school age children's packed lunches from home for any prohibited foods.
The operator shall follow Public Health instructions with regards to providing bagged lunches.
