Fairy Glen Day Care Centre has been offering quality childcare and learning in the Whitby area since 1985. In 2012, we partnered with the Durham District School Board offering our program to children enrolled in the Full Day Kindergarten as well as children in grades 1 through 6. In 2013, we partnered with the Durham Cathlic District School Board offering our program to children enrolled in full day kindergarden as well as, children in grades 1 through 6. The program is offered directly in the community schools. We are confident that we can meet the needs of your family. If you need alternate arrangements we can provide you with the resources to find a licensed child care centre in the Durham Region.

All rooms as set out in the shared space confirmation are approved for use by the child care program, based on licensed capacity, provided that the room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. The operator is required to keep on file at the premises an up-to-date shared space confirmation. This confirmation must include the primary use of the room during the school day and must be made available to Ministry of Education staff upon request. |

Director's Approval
Director approval has been granted for junior and senior kindergarten children to bring bagged lunches and or snacks. |

Once the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect, director approval is granted for the use of a room or area with less than 2.58 square metres of unobstructed floor space for each child in a licensed kindergarten, primary/junior school age and/or junior school age group, based on the licensed capacity, provided that the same room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group as set out in the shared space confirmation. |
