Family Day recognizes the importance of family and community in child development. As a family centred child care organization, we work to strengthen the relationships between children, their families and their communities. Family Day understands that culture, diversity, community and public policy affect child and family development. We support our families, and recognize and respect parents as being the most important caregivers for each child. Parents and staff are partners in caring for children.

The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. The licensee shall ensure that the total licensed capacity is not exceeded at any time.
All rooms as set out in the shared space confirmation are approved for use by the child care program, based on licensed capacity, provided that the room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. The licensee is required to keep on file at the premises an up-to-date shared space confirmation. This confirmation must include the primary use of the room during the school day and must be made available to Ministry of Education staff upon request
Guidelines and sample menus for preparing bag lunches/snacks which meet Canada's Food Guide, as well as procedures for refrigeration or the use of ice packs with bag lunches, shall be provided to each parent and posted at the centre. The operator shall review this information with parents at the time of enrolment and the information shall be included in the centre's parent handbook. The centre shall ensure back-up procedures are in place if a bag lunch/snack is forgotten.
Full compliance with all “in progress” items shall be fully met by May 27, 2016 and available for ministry review.
The licensee is licensed to provide care for 1 group of 20 Kindergarten children and must meet the staff: Child ratios identified in Schedule 1 of the Ontario Regulation 137/15.
The licensee is licensed to provide care for 1 group of 19 Primary/junior school age children and must meet the staff: Child ratios identified in Schedule 1 of the Ontario Regulation 137/15.
The licensee is licensed to provide care for 1 group of 27 Primary/junior school age children and must meet the staff: Child ratios identified in Schedule 1 of the Ontario Regulation 137/15.

Director's Approval
