The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents.
The kindergarten and school age programs are licensed to operate before-and-after school and full days on PA Days and school holidays.
Guidelines and sample menus for preparing bag lunches/snacks which meet Canada’s Food Guide, as well as procedures for refrigeration or the use of ice packs with bag lunches/snacks, shall be provided to each parent and posted at the centre. The operator shall review this information with parents at the time of enrolment and the information shall be included in the centre’s parent handbook. The centre shall ensure back-up procedures are in place if a bag lunch/snack is forgotten.
The operator to ensure the supervision plan for the use of the unfenced playground area for JK/SK children is followed.

Director's Approval

Director approval is granted for use of the unfenced playground area for JK/SK children, provided the safety supervision plan is followed.
Director’s approval has been granted for children who are eligible to attend elementary school to bring bagged lunches and/or snacks.
Director’s approval has been granted for mixed age grouping under s. 55(2) of O. Reg. 262. Mixed age grouping can be implemented in only one group in each age category. 20% of the licensed capacity per age group is as follows: JK / SK (10): 2 children; School Age (27): 5 children.
