Macklin House Daycare Centre Inc. has been providing licensed quality, professional childcare services to the Markham Community for more than a decade.
Established in 1990, Macklin House daycare services over one hundred families. Macklin House serves children between the ages of 3 months to 12 years. We also provide Summer Camps and care for School Age and Kindergarten children during PA days, Christmas, March Break and Summer Holidays.
In addition to providing childcare, Macklin House provides the community information regarding various services and programs that are available for parents in the Region of York. Parents can obtain information on topics such as Public Health, Healthy babies, Speech and language programs, Early Intervention, and Child Care Subsidy.

| The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. |
| Within 30 days of commencing operation the operator shall ensure that a set of drinking water samples are taken and tested and submit a Laboratory Services Notification (LSN) form to the MOE. The operator shall provide proof of submission to the Regional Office of the Ministry of Education. |
| The operator will purchase additional indoor, outdoor and rotational play equipment as the enrollment increases at the centre. |
| The operator shall ensure that the supervisor will not be counted as a scheduled program staff to meet ratios in the classrooms once the enrollment requires more than five classroom to be operating. |
| Operator to notify the Ministry of any changes to the menu or catering source. Operator must maintain a written temperature log of daily delivery time and temperature of food as well as time and temperature of the food at the time of serving. |
| The operator shall ensure that this child care program does not begin operating before August 31, 2015 when the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 and its regulations are in effect. |
| All rooms as set out in the shared space confirmation are approved for use by the child care program, based on licensed capacity, provided that the room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. |
| The operator is required to keep on file at the premises an up-to-date shared space confirmation. This confirmation must include the primary use of the room during the school day and must be made available to Ministry of Education staff upon request. |
| As of August 31, 2015, the operator is licensed to provide care for 7 groups of 30 Primary/Junior School Age and 1 group of 27 Primary/Junior School Age children and must meet the staff: child ratios identified in Schedule 1 of Ontario Regulation 137/15. |
