The North Bay Daycare and Learning Centre was the first licensed childcare centre in North Bay! We have been operating since 1973. We are a Government licensed and subsidized child care provider. Our child care centre is associated with The Early Years Centre and One Kids Place. Our goal is to help children with special needs improve developmental skills, both physically and cognitively.
Our staff are qualified, Early Childhood Educators, and possess ECE College diplomas along with First Aid and CPR certificates. Some of our staff have been working at our centre for more than 30 years.
Our Centre offers programs for all ages, from 0 - 12 years of age. Each program will provide learning experiences, materials, and activities that are age appropriate. The staff encourage and support children`s development in an environment that is warm, loving, challenging and fun.
We provide children with a nutritious home cooked lunch and a morning and afternoon snack.
Our playground is the largest in North Bay, with 3 separate playgrounds for each age group. The playgrounds are complete with new, CSA approved climbers, mature shade trees, multiple sand boxes, bikes and helmets and a large bike track.
North Bay Day Care and Learning Centres are opened year round and closed only for Statutory Holidays. Our hours of operation are 7:00am to 6:00pm.

| The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. |
| Alternate capacity is approved for up to 20 JK or 24 SK in each school age program. |
| In lieu of adequate window space, where the lower level program operates for 6 or more consecutive hours per day, the operator shall ensure that outdoor activities in addition to the required 2 hours are included in the daily program plan. |
| The use of the designated playground space at the 419 Haig Street, and the submitted Safe Walking procedures for walking the children to and from the site is approved. |
