The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. The licensee shall ensure that the total licensed capacity is not exceeded at any time. |
The Toddler licensed capacity is based on the use of Room 1 for 15 children. |
Guidelines and sample menus for preparing bag lunches/snacks which meet Canada's Food Guide, as well as procedures for refrigeration or the use of ice packs with bag lunches, shall be provided to each parent and posted at the centre. The operator shall review this information with parents at the time of enrolment and the information shall be included in the centre's parent handbook. The centre shall ensure back-up procedures are in place if a bag lunch/snack is forgotten. |
The licensee shall ensure that the August 19th, 2015 playground policy which includes the supervision of the playground areas, staff placement, procedure for monitoring of staff is followed at all times. |
The Preschool licensed capacity is based on the use of Room 2 for 16 children and Room 3 for 16 children. |
The Multi Purpose Room is licensed for use by a Primary/Junior School Age group of 30 children. |
The multi purpose room may be alternatively used by toddlers and preschoolers for indoor gross motor on inclement weather days when the Primary/Junior School Age children are not present. |
The licensee shall ensure that monitoring of medication administration is conducted daily which includes: the proper storage of all medication on premise; a review to check that medication is labelled with required information; a review to check that written consent for the administration of medication including a schedule that sets out the time the drug is to be administered and the amount to be administered has been completed by a parent and a written record is completed following the administration of the medication. A written record to confirm that daily monitoring was completed, by whom and any action taken with copies of the completed medication forms are to be available on site for ministry review. |
The licensee is to maintain a daily maintenance and safety inspection log. The log shall include a daily review of any maintenance issues within all areas of the child care centre and outdoor playground area. The written log is to include who completed the daily inspection, all maintenance and safety items, a record of action taken, plan of action if applicable and date completed. A written record is to be retained on premise and available for Ministry review. |
The licensee shall ensure that the written action plan which includes increased oversight and on-site involvement by the licensee is followed. Written evidence to verify the plan is followed is to be retained and available for review by ministry staff for the duration of the licence. |
The licensee shall submit written confirmation to the Ministry by May 27, 2016 that full compliance has been achieved for all items identified as “in progress” on the Summary of Child Care Centre Licensing Requirements and Recommendations report. |
The licensee shall submit written confirmation to the Ministry by September 1, 2016 that the written plan for completion of valid certification in standard first aid including infant and child CPR has been completed by all staff and that full compliance has been achieved. |
The licensee shall ensure the November 10, 2015 Window Safety policy is followed at all times. |
