Established in 1975, PLASP Child Care Services has built a solid reputation as an excellent provider of Before and After School programs as well as Early Learning and Child Care. A not-for-profit, community-based, charitable organization, PLASP provides care and early learning to 10,970 children from 8,657 families annually. School-age programs are located in 205 schools throughout Peel and Toronto, including 89 locations with Full-Day Kindergarten programs. School age programs include before school, lunch, after school and P.A. Day trips. PLASP also operates 21 Early Learning and Child Care Centres catering to toddlers and preschool children up to 5 years of age.

Recognizing our established reputation, PLASP has been voted the number one provider of child care by the readers of the Mississauga News Newspaper and City Parent Magazine every year since 1998. And, was also chosen as the Gold Winner for the Brampton Guardian Reader's Choice Award.

The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents.
The Kindergarten and School age programs are licensed to operate before and after school, P.A. days and on school holidays from September to June.
All rooms as set out in the shared space confirmation are approved for use by the child care program, based on licensed capacity, provided that the room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. The operator is required to keep on file at the premises an up-to-date shared space confirmation. This confirmation must include the primary use of the room during the school day and must be made available to Ministry of Education staff upon request.
The school age capacity is based on the use of primary rooms #116(Gym) with a maximum capacity of 30 children, #101 with a maximum capacity of 20 children, #104 with a maximum capacity of 15 children, #104 with a maximum of 15 children, Room #124/125 with a maximum of 15 children and alternate spaces, #215 with a maximum of 15 children and #216 with a maximum of 15 children.
Room 101 is licensed for a group 20 school-age children. Room 104 is licensed for a group of 15 school-age children. Rooms 121 and 122 are licensed for a group of 20 JK/SK children. Room 118 is licensed for a group of 20 JK/SK children. Room 120 is licensed for a group of 20 JK/SK children. Room 124/125 is licensed for a group of 15 school-age children until August 31, 2015 when the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect. Once the Child Care and Early Years Act and regulations come into effect, Rooms 101, 104 and 121 are licensed for a group of 26 Kindergarten children and Room 122 is licensed for a group of 24 Kindergarten children. Room 118 is licensed for a group of 24 school-age children, room 120 is licensed for a group of 29 school-age children and room 124/125 is licensed for a group of 27 school-age children.
The operator shall ensure that room #216 is not used until the Ministry has received all required municipal approvals (Toronto Fire).
The operator shall ensure that Rooms #104, #124/125 and #101 are not occupied until a visit is conducted by the Ministry to confirm capacity and measurements
The operator shall ensure that the temporarily approved rooms #217 for 24 school age children and #213 for 21 school age children are used during renovations.
Within the JK/SK capacity the operator can operate with an alternate capacity of 24 SK children with a 1:12 staff to child ratio in rooms #122 and #121, with a maximum of 12 SK children in each room at any given time.
The JK/SK capacity is based on the use of primary rooms #122 for a maximum of 20 children, #121 for a maximum of 20 children and alternate space, rooms #120 and #118 with a maximum of 20 children in each room at any given time.

Prior to the occupation of Rooms #122, #101, #104, #124/125, and #118, the operator shall submit to the Ministry, written confirmation from the Building Department that the building permits issued in relation to the construction in the above mentioned rooms have either been closed or cleared for occupancy.
The operator shall ensure that Rooms #104, #124/125 and #101 are not occupied until a visit is conducted by the Ministry to confirm capacity and measurements

Director's Approval

Approval is granted for mixed age grouping pursuant to s. 55(2).
As of August 31, 2015, director approval is granted for the use of specified rooms/areas that may have less than 2.58 square metres of unobstructed floor space for each child in a licensed kindergarten, primary/junior school age and/or junior school age group, based on the licensed capacity, provided that the same room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group.
As of August 31, 2015, Director’s Approval is granted for mixed age grouping pursuant to ss. 8(2) and (3) of Ontario Regulation 137/15.
