Sundowners Day Care and Resource Centre is a non-profit organization that provides a variety of services throughout Essex County. It’s Board of Directors is committed to supporting high-quality accessible care for from toddler through school-age children. This is being addressed in part by operating a variety of child care services including full-day, and before and after school programs, in a school-based, centre environment. Workshops designed by Sundowners are available for children 9-12 years, and can be used to assist in developing “self care” skills.

| The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. |
| As of August 31, 2015, the operator is licensed to provide care for one group of 26 Kindergarten children and must meet the staff: child ratios identified in Schedule 1 of Ontario Regulation 137/15. |

| Before changes are made to shared space and/or the total capacity for kindergarten and/or school-age children, the operator shall ensure that an up-to-date shared space confirmation document that is signed by the operator and a school board representative is available on site for Ministry review. |
| As of August 31, 2015, all rooms as set out in the shared space confirmation are approved for use by the child care program based on licensded capacity, provided that the room or area is used by the school for children who are the same age as the age category of the licensed age group. The operator is required to keep on file at the premises an up-to-date shared space confirmation. This confirmation must include primary use of the room during the school day and must be made available to Ministry of Education staff when requested. |
