The Children's Montessori Academy is a special place for families in Oak Ridges and Richmond Hill. Established in 1997, we are an intentionally small preschool providing children with a traditional Montessori education which continues Maria Montessori's lifetime work. We are proud to be a CCMA accredited Montessori school offering an authentic Montessori program.
When children enter our school environment for the first time, they feel comfortable immediately. This is because our school is intended to feel like both a school and a "casa dei bambini", house for children, as outlined by Dr. Maria Montessori in her writings. Our warm, intimate and nurturing environment makes it possible for your child to make a smooth transition from home to school in their early years, while still communicating the importance of learning.
Our small classrooms, with low student-teacher ratio, enable your child to feel like they are part of a second family, a community of children. Your child will never be just another face in the crowd. Your child is a special and valued member of the community, and is able to learn at his or her own pace. The friendships and relationships your child makes in this loving environment often endure well beyond their years with us.
