The City operates four Child Care Centres for children aged 18 months to 12 years. Drop-In services are available. Child care costs are based on your income. Hours are Monday to Friday, 6:45 am to 5:30 pm. The City also operates a Private Home Child Care program for children aged six weeks to 12 years, with varied hours & days.

| The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. |
| The preschool program shall run out of the Caterpillar room, with a capacity of 16 children. |
| The school age capacity is based on the use of the pod room, multi needs room, gym and library. The JK SK capacity is based on the use of school kindergarten room. |
| Reduced ratios can be used when there is low enrollment in the early morning or end of day, following the ratio of the youngest age group present. If regular ratio groups can be formed, family grouping should not be implemented. |
