For over 40 years, the YMCA of Greater Toronto has provided quality licensed child care programs with exceptionally high standards of care and education meeting or exceeding Provincial and Municipal licensing requirements. . Today we are the largest not for profit provider of Licensed Child Care in Canada with programs for children from infancy to 12 years throughout the GTA. All of our centres open early and close late to fit the schedule of parents and families.

The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. |
The nursery school component of this program is licensed to operate from 8:30 am to 11:00 am from September to June. |
Within the licence capacity only 32 spaces may be used 6 hours or more in a period of 24 hours. |
The school age licensed capacity is based on the use of Room 101 (30 children) and the Stage (18 children). |
The kindergarten licensed capacity is based on the use of Room 102 (20 children)and the alternate space of Room 103 (20 children). |
The kindergarten and/or school age program are licensed to operate before and after school and full day on PA days and school holidays. |
The preschool room 1 may be alternately used for a group of school age children (15) when enrolment allows. |
Director's Approval
Director’s approval has been granted for mixed age grouping under s. 55(2) of O. Reg. 262. Mixed age grouping can be implemented in only one group in each age category. 20% of the licensed capacity per age group is as follows: Preschool (16): 3 children; Kindergarten (20): 4 children and School Age (30): 6 children. |
