STEMCamp

Our philosophy at STEM Summer Camp is simple. Children learn while they have fun! If you would like your children to have a great time at summer camp while learning about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, then register them for STEM Summer Camp. What sets us apart from other science and engineering camps? At STEM Summer Camp, we bring in the experts who KNOW the subject matter to answer camper questions. Each week an exciting guest such as an astronomer, scientist, engineer, computer expert or an olympic athlete visits virtually or in person to talk about STEM and how it relates to their lives and to camp activities. Campers get the right answers from qualified professionals who open their eyes to the subject matter and inspire them at the same time!

Summer Program Overview

Themes

Week 1 - Star Wars

• Build your own Satellite Communication Replica
• Can you build a walking robot? Do you have what it takes to give this robot simple commands?
• Design and race solar cars
• Build a Lunar Lander

Week 2 - Pan Am Games

• Build a bobsled
• Neuroscience and sports
• Design and build a luge
• Robot Basketball

Week 3 - Super Heroes

• Race hover crafts and balloon powered racers
• Can you make lightening like Thor?
• Can you launch that rocket?
• Could vegetable power be the new fuel?

Week 4 - Pirates

• Make your own telescope.
• Build a ship and sink it with a catapult you build yourself
• Would you get scurvy?
• How did Pirates make Ice Cream?
• Can you make your own solar cooker?

All activities will be age appropriate regardless of theme
