For over 40 years, the YMCA of Greater Toronto has provided quality licensed child care programs with exceptionally high standards of care and education meeting or exceeding Provincial and Municipal licensing requirements. . Today we are the largest not for profit provider of Licensed Child Care in Canada with programs for children from infancy to 12 years throughout the GTA. All of our centres open early and close late to fit the schedule of parents and families.

The licensee shall ensure that the Licensing Inspection Summary is posted in a conspicuous place in the child care centre at or near an entrance commonly used by parents. The licensee shall ensure that the completed Licensing Checklist and the Summary of Licensing Requirements and Recommendations sheets are readily available for parents. |
Within the licensed capacity of 72 preschool children (24 children in each of 3 rooms) one room may be alternately used for a group of 20 JK/SK children, when enrolment allows. |
The school age component of this program is licensed to operate a "Before and After Camp" program during July and August, and on PA days and school holidays from September to June. |
Twenty (20) spaces for the kindergarten aged component of this program are licensed to operate a "Before and After Camp" program during July and August, and on PA days and school holidays from September to June in Room 110. |
The school age licensed capacity is based on the use of Room(s) 101(30), 106(30), gym in building L(30) and the alternate space of Room(s) gym (30), the mall (15), health rooms 206 A & B (15 each). |
A capacity for 15 toddlers, 48 preschoolers, 20 JK/SK and 60 school age children may be alternatively for a group of 143 children when enrolment allows. |
When enrolment allows, the Preschool 1 classroom may be used alternatively for 15 toddlers. |
Director's Approval
Director's approval has been granted for mixed age grouping under s. 55(2) of O. Reg. 262. Mixed age grouping can be implemented in only one group in each age category. 20% of the licensed capacity per age group is as follows: Toddlers (15): 3 children, Preschool (16): 3 children, JK / SK (10): 2 children, School Age (30): 6 children. |
